Part of Carney St. closed to the public starting June 8

PRINCE GEORGE— The City is giving the public a heads up to a partial road closure next week.

Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, June 8 Carney St. between Winnipeg St. and Ellison Dr. will be closed to vehicular, and pedestrian traffic to allow for the installation of a water main connection to the future fire hall.

The City says the traffic disruption will last for about a week as the water main is installed. The portion of road is expected to be reopened on June 14.

During the road-closure, northbound motorists traveling on Massey Dr. who are attempting to turn west will have to detour north via 17th Ave. Spruce St., and 15th Ave.

Traffic signs will be in place to notify and direct the public.

Water service will be shut off on Tuesday June 9th for around five hours as part of the operation.
