Tourism PG looks to future
PRINCE GEORGE–Tourism Prince George is looking ahead, as it receives provincial and federal funding for the future.
Tourism PG will receive funding which includes, a provincial grant for community Destination Marketing Organizations supported by the municipal and regional district tax, Destination BC funding for physical modifications at the Visitor Information Centre, and Joint marketing funding from Destination B.C. and Destination Canada for B.C.’s largest community/city DMO’s, including Prince George, Vancouver, Whistler, Victoria, Kelowna, Kamloops, and Tofino/Ucluelet.
“We appreciate this funding that will help to restart some of the tactics from our existing 2020 plan to hopefully encourage regional and eventually province-wide and domestic travel to our area.”–Tracey McBride, CEO, Tourism PG
McBride adds that Destination B.C. and Destination Canada have provided “great support during these challenging times.”
