City identifies facility upgrades for Summer Games

PRINCE GEORGE – Since Prince George was the successful bidder for the 2022 BC Summer Games, the City and various sporting organizations have been laying the groundwork to play host.
Literally.
The City recently hired a consultant to conduct a Civic Facilities Gap Analysis specific to the Summer Games. There will be upgrades to the docks at Nukko Lake, as well as the construction of a beach volleyball sand court and improvements to the baseball and softball diamonds at Carrie Jane Grey and Freeman Parks.
