PRINCE GEORGE–There’s another chance to win a dream home in Prince George, and support a local organization who due to COVID-19 has had a hard time meeting fundraising goals.

Tickets for the 2020 Hospice Dream Home are officially on sale. The home, built by North Nechako Homes is nestled in the Nechako View Subdivision on 3955 Larisa Court and is estimated at being more than $700,000.

“This year, due to COVID, the Dream House Lottery is more important than ever.”–Donna Flood, Director, Prince George Hospice Society

Tickets for the home are being sold for $100 each, with only 10,999 tickets being sold.

The approximately 3,390 square foot ranch-style home features five bedrooms plus an office, four bathrooms, as well as five brand-new appliances.

“This year the Hospice Society had been hit hard with their fundraising goals due to the cancellation of our other events. We are depending on the Dream Home lottery for raising the much-needed funds more than ever before.”–Sandra Klimm, Special Events Coordinator, Prince George Hospice Society

Klimm adds that due to the fundraising shortfalls they looked at increasing ticket prices or increasing the number of tickets sold, however, they chose against both of those options.

Instead, two 50/50 draws will be held apart from the home lottery, giving the community the opportunity to win up to $150,000 in cash, for each draw.

Tickets for the 50/50 are $25 each with the first draw being held on Sept. 25th and the second on December 18th. Dream home tickets and 50/50 tickets will be available for purchase at the dream home location Monday-Friday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Hospice Society Office on 1506 Ferry Ave. Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-4p.m. as well as at Canadian Tire or online.
