PRINCE GEORGE – The Tourism Prince George Visitor Information Centre has re-opened after a temporary closure.

Over three months ago the doors at the Visitor Information Centre located on 1st avenue were closed to the public to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

On Canada Day the Centre opened after the development of protective safety measures were put in place.

With some minor changes to the way staff at the Tourism Prince George greets both locals and visitors to the area.

The Centre is back in operation assisting people on the best way to explore the region.

The Information Centre is limiting the number of people entering the building.

On the Tourism Prince George website, people are encouraged to contact the Centre in advance by phone or email so information packages can be put together for pick up.

The gift shop inventory on the floor has been limited and they have reduced numbers of pamphlets available for visitors to browse to help reduce the number of touchpoints.

The Visitor Information Centre is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 4:30, and Saturdays from 10 to 4.
