Vanway Transfer Station receives upgraded oil recycling station
PRINCE GEORGE — Over the last three months, BC Used Oil Management Association has been fixing communities up with new and return collection facilities around the province. A handful of those are in northern BC including one here in Prince George.
Locally, the Vanway Transfer Station was one of the recipients, upgrading its old used oil recycling facility to a brand new one. A few other upgraded stations were put in Mackenzie and McBride.
The already upgraded stations total nine in the province, courtesy the BC Used Oil Management Association. As for the one in Prince George, it is another example of the organization acknowledging one of the more diligent communities in the province. Earlier this year, BCUOMA named the Foothills Landfill as one of BC’s top oil and antifreeze return collection facilities.
