Thieves target memorial plaques in Houston

HOUSTON, B.C. — RCMP in Houston, B.C. are seeking the public’s help in locating the person or persons responsible for stealing memorial plaques.

North District RCMP say that over nineteen memorial plaques have been stolen from benches in Steelhead Park.

“It is not known when these were taken but we hope someone can provided the information that helps us solve this crime”, said Cst Ash Schaning, Houston RCMP.

RCMP say the cost to replace the memorial plaques that were stolen will be over $10,000.
