VANDERHOOF — A nice boost for healthcare services in Vanderhoof.
The Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation says that the much anticipated ECHO Ultrasound has arrived in the community and will soon be in full use at St. John Hospital providing cardiac diagnostics for the Omineca region.
Spirit of the North says an applied grant provided an initial commitment of one-half of the funds needed. Integris Credit Union then donated $50,000 in memory of Rosalie Nichiporuk, a long-time resident. Others donations included $10,000 from the St. John Auxiliary and a grant of $12,000 from the Four Rivers Co-op.
“The impact these funds will have on the future of cardiac health for the area west of Prince George is immeasurable,” says CEO of the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation Judy Neiser.
