RCMP locate semi that was possibly involved in fatal crash

DAWSON CREEK — RCMP in Dawson Creek have managed to locate a white B-train Freightliner tractor trailer that they believe may have been involved in a fatal crash on December 15.

RCMP say one person was killed following the head-on crash on Highway 2 near the 800-block (near Dawson Creek Airport Road).

RCMP say it happened at around 5:40 p.m. that day with police arriving on scene to find a GMC pickup truck extensively damaged and a semi-truck that remained on the scene.

Police now say the vehicle of interest was located approximately 1100 Kilometers away by the Saskatoon Police Service in Saskatchewan. The vehicle was seized and towed to a secure facility for further investigation.
