Campfire ban partially rescinded

PRINCE GEORGE — Good news for campers in the Prince George area.

The BC Wildfire Service has partially rescinded the campfire ban issued May 19.

It means campfires remain banned in the Dawson Creek, Fort St. John and Fort Nelson fire zones but are permitted in all other zones across the province effective noon Tuesday.

Category 2 and 3 open burning prohibitions remain in place throughout the Prince George Fire Centre.
