PRINCE GEORGE – Isabelle Thomas, a mother of two young girls, dreamed of owning her own home and building a future for her daughters. But tragically, she was killed last month in a suspected home invasion on Upland Street.

In light of this devastating event, some family members have stepped forward to preserve her memory and establish a support system for the children she left behind.

Since her daughter’s passing, Leslie Thomas has become the caregiver of her daughter’s six-month-old child. Everyone around Leslie’s daughter knew her for her nurturing nature.

People knew Isabelle as a driven young woman who aimed to build a strong future for her two kids.

Lorna Paul is a relative of Isabelle Thomas. When she heard about Isabella’s death, her mind went immediately to her children.

To keep Isabelle’s memories alive, the family and grandmothers will continue sharing stories of how Isabelle put her children first and ensured that they knew their cultural heritage.

The family has set up a gofundme page to help fund counselling services for Isabelle’s children.
