Cougars Ziemmer wins WHL Player of the Week

PRINCE GEORGE– The Western Hockey League announced Monday that Koehn Ziemmer of the Prince George Cougars has been named Tempo WHL Player of the Week for the week ending November 19, 2023.

The Cougars alternate captain tallied nine points in four games this week as Prince George went 3-1 over that stretch. Ziemmer also put pen to paper on a three-year, entry-level deal with the Los Angeles Kings on Friday. The Mayerthorpe, Alberta product sits 16th in the WHL in scoring with 28 points in 18 games.

It’s also the 2nd time a Prince George Cougar has won Player of the Week honours as Ziemmer joins teammate Zac Funk who did it the first week of the WHL Season.
