Oak Street house fire causes tens of thousands in damages

PRINCE GEORGE—Early Sunday(Jan. 21) morning, at around 6 a.m, Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a fire at a home on the 2500 block of Oak Street.

Crews from three halls responded with the first crew to arrive reporting heavy smoke and fire coming from window of residence.

Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the blaze with no injuries to the public or fire personnel.

Estimated damages to the home is $60,000. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
