Over 1300 houses were sold in Prince George in 2024
PRINCE GEORGE—The REALTOR members of the BC Northern Real Estate Board (BCNREB) report that 1335 properties where sold in Prince George through the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) in 2024. The combined total of these sales was $623.8 million. The totals are an increase from the amount sold in 2023 which was 1131 properties worth $511.9 million.
West of the by-pass in Prince George, half of the 232 single-family homes sold sold for less than $460,000. 27 apartments and 61 townhouses gained new owners. There were 16 single-family homes available at the end of 2024, 29 less than at the end of 2023.
East of the by-pass, the 175 single-family homes sold had a median value of $395,000 making it the cheapest area in Prince George to buy a house. 39 apartment units, 9-half duplexes and 61 townhouses changed hands in 2024, ending the year with 39 single-family homes for sale through MLS. The amount of for sale homes is down compared to 2023 which had 41.
The northern part of the city and the southwest section had the highest home prices. Of the 170 single-family homes sold in the north, half sold for less than $547,500. Meanwhile, only half of the 223 single-family homes sold in the south sold for less than $584,000. At the end of the year, the northern area had 31 houses available, up from 2023 which had 23 available single-family homes. The southwest sector had 31 single-family homes, compared with the 41 at the end of 2023.
