After 35 years of fundraising, “Million Dollar Jim” nearing goal
PRINCE GEORGE – It’s a journey that began all the way back in 1990, and is now finally reaching its goal: Jim Terrion, also known as Million Dollar Jim, is less than $30,000 away from hitting his goal of raising one million dollars for the Terry Fox Foundation. Born deaf, Terrion says he was inspired by Terry Fox’s incredible determination and drive, and wanted to continue what Fox started.
“Born deaf, I recognized that while my disability was different from Terry’s his determination spoke to me. It inspired me to join him in his pursuit of one day finding a cure for cancer,” Terrion wrote.
His lofty goal of one million dollars is now less than $30,000 away from becoming a reality, and both Terrion and the Terry Fox Foundation expect him to hit that achievement this year.
