99.3 Rewind Radio set to welcome a new host

PRINCE GEORGE – On September 29, 99.3 Rewind Radio will be launching it’s new morning show as longtime host Cody Malbeuf is moving into his new role as Program Director.

“It worked perfectly for me and my family. I have been at this for 13 years and a workday has always included a microphone in front of me but we just had a kid so the timing was right. Pattison Media is a terrific company and I’m excited to climb the ladder.” said Malbeuf.

With morning staple Jen Grier remaining, she will be joined by well known local personality Kurt Flesher to create a new experience for Rewind Mornings. As Malbeuf slides behind the desk, he says Kurt is the perfect person to take over for him on the mic.

“Me and Kurt have worked together in the past and he’s a absolutely phenomenal guy. You’ve probably heard his voice as an announcer over at PGARA or maybe you’ve seen him hosting panels on FanCon. The man is just a phenomenal force in the community, and we could not be more excited to have him taking over the morning role on 99.3 Rewind Radio.” added Malbeuf.

Kurt Flesher is a veteran of Prince George radio and a longtime presence at community events over his decade in the city. Flesher says he is grateful for the opportunity and excited to get to work.

“Working with somebody like Jen, is a real amazing opportunity for me. I’ve known Jen for a few years now, and I feel incredibly lucky that opportunity was presented towards me. Cody, who is leaving the morning show and going to become the program director, I have also known for quite a few years. I’m really excited to work with him in that capacity.” said Flesher.

As for what the new host has in store for the New Rewind Morning with Jen and Kurt, you can expect excitement and great variety.

“First and foremost we’re going to keep things really fun. I love to have a fun morning show and to keep that excitement up right from the word go. I’m also really community oriented a huge amount and over the last few years it’s been my great opportunity to know various city councilors. I spend a lot of time with the Thrashers, roller derby and I’m just really plugged in to everything that’s going on. I’m really excited to be able to share those things with you, whether it’s fundraising events, the opportunity for us to talk about some of the things that are coming up that you might attend, and of course, giveaway tickets and all the rest of it that goes along with being on air. That’s what I look forward to bringing is a real Prince George spirit to the air.” added Flesher.

You can check out the new 99.3 Rewind Radio morning show weekdays from 6 am until 10 am starting September 29.
