Spruce Kings acquire goalie

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Spruce Kings have acquired the BCHL playing rights of goaltender Marko Bilic (06) from the Vernon Vipers in exchange for future considerations.

Bilic is 6’3, 185 pounds and hails from Toronto Ontario. Bilic split time last season with the Vipers and the Maryland Black Bears of the NAHL. In 14 BCHL games, Bilic had a 3-8-1 record with a 3.52 GAA and .895 Save %.

During his time with Maryland, he put up a 8-4-1 record with a 2.44 GAA and .901 Save %. He also made 4 playoff appearances. Bilic is committed to Arizona State University.

“Marko is a goalie that we have been interested in for a quite a while. I’m glad we were finally able to acquire him. He will come in and help solidify that position for us while creating healthy competition among our three goalies as they push each other for the net,” says General Manager Mike Hawes.
