PRINCE GEORGE – In Prince George, a relatively new company is making strides in supporting caregivers by giving them the much-needed time to recharge. The focus of this is to help local seniors with dementia remain active while allowing their caregivers to take a well-deserved break. The adult day program specifically caters to those with dementia, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.

Josee Kubbernus, who has dedicated over 15 years to working in long-term care facilities, has noticed a gap in the support available to seniors and their families within the community.

Quality Time Wellness is committed to offering recreation therapy, featuring both personalized programs and a dementia-friendly adult day service. Caregivers have the option to drop off their loved ones, freeing them up to enjoy some time for themselves.

According to Kubbernus, Quality Time Wellness stands out as the only dementia recreational therapy center in the northern region.
