Emergency water utility work to close a portion of Carney Street Thursday

PRINCE GEORGE — Carney Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from 2nd Avenue to the River Road/1st Avenue intersection Thursday for emergency water utility work.
Pedestrians and cyclists will have access along the west side of Carney. Crews will be on site from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to replace water infrastructure. Southbound traffic coming across the Cameron Street Bridge will be detoured to 1st Avenue.
The City urges motorists to exercise caution around work zones and drive slowly.
