PRINCE GEORGE – Every year, the Province of British Columbia honours exceptional community heroes with the B.C. Medal of Good Citizenship. On Friday afternoon, two local individuals were awarded this prestigious medal.

Ted Price and Anne Laughlin are well-known in Prince George for dedicating countless hours to community service through local theatre productions. The afternoon was dedicated to highlighting their significant contributions.

“ No one can ever succeed in theatre without a team behind them.”

In November 2015, Ted and Anne launched Miracle Theatre’s inaugural production, and since then, they have been at the forefront of raising funds for various local initiatives.

“They’ve raised over $1 million towards really great projects in the community, including the structural protection … but also helping seniors, and other vulnerable groups and making sure that they get the support that they need.”

The province awards the medal to individuals who truly exemplify the highest ideals of good citizenship.

“ Does this make us want to do more? Absolutely. It’s the fuel that keeps you going.”

Ted and Anne are currently preparing to launch another production in the coming months.
