Legendary rock acts to headline Vanderhoof’s centennial celebrations

VANDERHOOF — Three legendary Canadian rock acts will perform at Vanderhoof’s 100-year celebration next July.

Tom Cochrane, Trooper and The Headpins will headline a free outdoor concert on Sunday, July 5, 2026 in Riverside Park.

“Having these iconic artists join us for Vanderhoof’s Centennial is a fantastic way to cap off the weekend,” said Kevin Moutray, Mayor of Vanderhoof. “It’s going to be a celebration that brings generations together and showcases the heart of our community.”

Founded in 1926, Vanderhoof has grown from a small railway settlement into the geographical heart of British Columbia. In 2026 residents, neighbours, and visitors will come together to mark a century of progress and pride.

Centennial Highlights Include:

  • Live entertainment featuring local talent and national headliners
  • Historical exhibits, cowboy poetry, and storytelling capturing Vanderhoof’s journey
  • Family-friendly activities including games, artisan markets, and food vendors
  • Music, food, and dancing to cap off each day in true Vanderhoof style
  • Free concert July 5 featuring Tom Cochrane, Trooper and The Headpins
