Officials remind residents: Celebrate safely to keep Halloween fun, not harmful

PRINCE GEORGE – As Halloween lights up the night, safety should shine brightest of all. The Prince George Fire Rescue is reminding residents to handle fireworks with care and light them one at a time from a safe distance. Children should never handle fireworks, and sparklers, though small, can burn hot enough to cause serious injuries. Officials urge everyone to celebrate responsibly so Halloween ends with treats. Not trips to the emergency room.
