Concrete Progress, City nears finish line on 2025 sidewalk revamp
PRINCE GEORGE – Sidewalks may appear straightforward, but they play a crucial role in keeping a city moving. Paving crews have been actively upgrading and constructing sidewalks throughout the city through the city’s $1.57 million 2025 sidewalk rehabilitation program.
As winter approaches, the city’s sidewalk rehabilitation program is nearing completion. The final section of sidewalks along Fifth Avenue is just days away from being completed.
“This year, we received $1.57 million for sidewalk rehabilitation. We are able to remove existing infrastructure that has reached the end of its useful life and replace it with both concrete and asphalt. Concrete is our hard surface of choice for the pedestrian network.”
