Parascak nets hat trick in Cougars win

PRINCE GEORGE — Terik Parascak scored three goals to help lead the Prince George Cougars to a 4-2 victory over the visiting Victoria Royals Wednesday night before 2,909 fans at the CN Centre.

Parascak scored twice in the first period and potted his 15th goal of the year into the empty net with just under two minutes to play. Brock Souch had the other Cougar goal – his sixth of the season.

Prince George was outshot by Victoria 36-27 with Joshua Ravensbergen once again superb between the pipes blocking 34 shots.

The Cougars swept the mid-week two-game set between the teams – the Cougars beat the Royals 3-1 on Tuesday night.

The win improved Prince George’s record to 13-7 – good for first in the B.C. Division.

The Cats are back on the ice Friday night when they host the Kamloops Blazers.
