Downtown patrol team targets street disorder in Prince George
PRINCE GEORGE – Since the beginning of the month, a dedicated team of eight downtown RCMP officers and Bylaw officers have been assembled to address street disorder in the downtown core. It comes hot on the heels of a meeting involving the province, city officials and police to address crime in the city.
Almost every day, the Prince George RCMP and Bylaw Services come together before heading out on patrol in the downtown area. This daily collaboration is a testament to their shared commitment to making our community safer.
“ The Prince George RCMP has taken steps to modify the downtown safety unit and their schedule in the downtown core. We are currently out 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
