Pop-up library services to open outside Williams Lake branch amid temporary closure

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Bookworms in the Williams Lake area in need of library services will get some reprieve amid the temporary closure of the city’s branch. 

The Cariboo Regional District (CRD) says a pop-up library will open outside the Williams Lake branch doors on 180 3 Ave. N, offering a limited selection of books, DVDs and audiobooks. Staff will also be able to place holds and pick up requested materials. 

Starting Sept. 8 and lasting until Oct. 16, the Williams Lake pop up library will run Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Fridays from noon to 4:00 p.m. 

The CRD’s Williams Lake Library is closed until Nov. 3 due to renovation work.
