Nine former Cougars competing for USports National Championship

Over in Lethbridge, the USports Mens Hockey Championship is underway with a collection of WHL alums competing for the Cavendish Farms University Cup. The National Championship features 83 former Western Hockey League players spread between the 8 teams competing. Among that 83, are 9 former Cougars including Jesse and Alex Forsberg, along with Shane Collins, Sam Ruopp, and Jordan Tkatch all playing with the Saskatchewan Huskies. Prince George boy Brogan O’Brien and Aaron Boyd are representing Ontario’s Carleton Ravens, and Jared Bethune is with the Queen’s Gaels. Wil Tomchuk is also playing with the University of Alberta Golden Bears.
