A pedestrian has been killed in a crash in Vanderhoof. It happened early yesterday morning on Burrard Avenue, near Omineca Street.
Mounties were called out at 3:00am after receiving a report of a pickup striking a woman. She was taken to hospital but died a short time later.
Mounties say the woman may have been approaching vehicles and have evidence to suggest that at one point, she laid down in the middle of the road.
The driver of the pickup is cooperating with police. RCMP say there is no evidence to suggest the driver was impaired in any way.
They’re asking for anyone who witnessed the woman’s behaviour, to contact Vanderhoof Mounties.
