PRINCE GEORGE–The Prince George Cougars fell 6-1 to the Edmonton Oil Kings in preseason play Thursday in Dawson Creek.

Filip Koffer scored the Cats’ only goal, his first of the pre-season, on a breakaway in the second period. Tyler Brennan went the distance in net, turning aside 40 of 46 shots.

The two teams are off Friday, before hitting the ice at the Encana Events Centre for game two Saturday at 1pm.

The Cats start their regular season next Friday, September, 20th at home against the Vancouver Giants.
