The women’s soccer season has just passed the half-way mark, but they’re already doing their part in building a strong team for next year. The Timberwolves have sourced a Smithers midfielder as their first member of next year’s recruiting class, officially committing Cara Brawdy on Wednesday. The 17-year-old attended an ID Camp at UNBC in August where she showed Head Coach Niel Sedwick her strength and ability to improve under the right coaching. Brawdy is a Bulkley Valley Soccer Society product, who will graduate from Smithers Secondary in June. The five-foot-six honour roll student plans on pursuing Human Resource Management at UNBC.
