Prince George division of Jim Pattison Broadcast Group take home two BCAB awards

VICTORIA — A big night for 99.3 The Drive and 101.3 The River at tonight’s 72nd annual BCAB awards ceremony in Victoria.

Both stations took home the 2018 community service award in the small/medium market category for its Miracle on Third fundraiser. Proceeds from that event went to benefit the Elizabeth Fry Society.

The River and The Drive also won the best station imaging award for its efforts during Canada Day 2018.

CKPG-TV was nominated twice for excellence in reporting for last year’s coverage of the pipeline explosion and for the 2018 wildfires but lost out to Global Okanagan.
