Spruce Kings edge Warriors in early affair Friday at BCHL Showcase

It was an early morning for the Prince George Spruce Kings Friday as they battled the West Kelowna Warriors at 10:00 a.m. at the Bauer BCHL Showcase in Penticton.

Despite being down 2-1 late in the 2nd period, the Spruce Kings would even the contest with just 28 seconds remaining in the middle frame thanks to Finlay Williams and his 5th of the season.

The Kings would take the lead just 2:48 into the third as Chong Min Lee netted his 5th of the campaign to put Prince George out front and secure them the two points.

With the win, the Spruce Kings are 4-4-2 on the year.

They will look to make it back to back wins when they battle the Trail Smoke Eaters at 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
