Political scientist weighs in on federal debate

PRINCE GEORGE — Last night’s federal debate saw the six prominent party leaders meet face-to-face for the first time this election and it’s drawing a fair share of criticism.
The main gripe has been about formatting. According to a local political scientist, the bunch of party leaders often speaking overtop of one another damaged the impact of the debate.
He says another issue was a potential further decrease in viewership, as was seen from the 2011 to 2015 elections.
