Cougars show off Oktoberfest-themed jerseys

The Cougars are getting set to take off on their first trip to the States in this young season. That’s this weekend, then it’s back home for their first feature game of 2019 next weekend, inspired by Oktoberfest. They play a two game set with the Spokane Chiefs at the CN Centre October 18th and 19th, with the Saturday game featuring these threads. Full Stride Designs put together the Cougars newest one-night-only jerseys which feature traditional lederhosen-designs and a Cougars “C” derived from an authentic german font. There’s also small nuances like the 26 leaves on the front to represent the amount of seasons the Cougars have played in Prince George and the design representing the confluence of the Fraser and Nechako Rivers. An online auction begins on Wednesday for the jerseys, which will be sold after the Saturday night contest.
