Youth cyclist suffers a minor injury

100 MILE HOUSE – RCMP responded to a collision between a 12-year-old cyclist and a truck Thursday afternoon on Taylor Way.

On October 10, 2019, at approximately 3:20 p.m. 100 Mile House RCMP was notified of a collision on Taylor Way in 100 Mile House involving a pick-up truck and a bicycle.

The investigation determined that a 12-year-old youth was riding his bike on a crosswalk from Hwy 97 onto Taylor Way when he was struck by the southbound truck.

The youth was wearing a helmet and suffered minor injuries, he was transported by ambulance to a local area hospital for further assessment.
