Advanced polls closed on Monday night, and this year a record-breaking number of Canadians voted early. Elections Canada says that 4.7 million people voted early, a 29 percent increase from 2015.

Don’t fall for the phone or e-mail scams. That is the message Prince George RCMP are sending out. Local police say that they continue to receive reports of fraudulent calls and want the public to know how to prepare if they receive one. More information on fraud crimes can be found here.
