Cougars centre Ondrej Becher taken by Detroit in round 3

LAS VEGAS — A second Prince George Cougar has been selected in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft in Las Vegas.

Ondrej Becher was taken 80th overall in the third round by the Detroit Red Wings. Becher recorded 96 points (32G, 64A) last season for the Cougars. He added 10 more points at the World Juniors as a member of Team Czechia.

Becher follows teammate Terik Parascak who was taken 17th overall on Friday by the Washington Capitals.
