Ski Club to host second annual Pub Night at Trench Brewing

Jan 8, 2025 | 5:00 AM

PRINCE GEORGE— If smoked prime rib and live music sounds like a perfect Saturday Night, the Prince George Ski Club have the fundraising event for you. On Saturday January 11, the non-profit sports organization will be hosting their second annual Pub Night fundraiser at Trench Brewing.

The night will feature a silent auction and 50/50 raffle, to the backdrop of live folk funk by Peace River based band the Folky Strum Strum. All proceeds will go directly to supporting the clubs programming, help cover training costs, equipment, travel, and making sure athletes have the resources they need for a great season.

This season has had a rocky start according to Vice-President Kristi Francis adding that “Purden Ski Resort, our primary ski hill, remains closed at this time and we are unsure when it will open.”

Francis says that the club is grateful that the Hart Ski Hill has stepped forward to help out as well as other northern resorts, including Troll Ski Resort, Powder King, and Murray Ridge. However, travelling to other hills means the ski clubs travel costs have increased.

Tickets are $65/person with the event starting at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are limited and can be purchased from Prince George Ski Club executives or by emailing pgscfundraiser@gmail.com.
