Structure fire at 4th and Dominion

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue is responding to a structure fire that broke out at approximately 1:30 p.m. (Jan.16) in the downtown core.

The City says nineteen firefighters from four fire halls are currently on scene at the former City Second Hand Shop at 4th Avenue and Dominion Street.

Smoke can be seen billowing out from the building though the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

No word on any potential injuries. RCMP ask motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area.

Surrounding buildings and residences have been evacuated for safety purposes.
