PRINCE GEORGE – Thousands made their way to the CN Centre parking lot Wednesday night as vendors, food trucks and artisans were gathered for the 8th annual Night Market at the CN Centre. The event celebrates culture, creativity and community while showcasing some of the best Prince George has to offer. The market left first time vendor Terry Conroy impressed with the size, organization and crowds.

“This is a fantastic event and it’s very well organized. Everyone knows the night market, especially with it being in the evening. People are done work and they want to check it out. because there’s so much to see. It’s a great large, open space which accommodates the amount of vendors that are here. ” says Conroy.

For many of the vendors the Night Market is a prime event on the calender as it offers businesses a much larger customer base and also helps spread the word outside of general social media promotion. As small business owner Leanna Toews says the opportunity to engage face to face with customers is a big advantage online can’t offer.

” They’re a lot of fun and I’ve made some really good friends here. You get to meet a lot of really great vendors and a lot of really great people. You get your business out there and you get to market your business in a very different way, other than being on social media. I’m on social media but it’s very different when you’re talking to somebody behind a messenger or on your page. ” says Toews.

Judging from the full parking lot, the lineups for food and busy vendors the 8th annual Night Market at the CN Centre was a overall success.
