Designated downtown cooling centres ready to support residents during heatwave
PRINCE GEORGE – As the temperatures begin to rise, the City of Prince George is ready to take proactive measures. If needed, there’s a plan to open cooling centers aimed at helping residents cope with the intense heat. These centers will provide safe, air-conditioned environments where individuals can relax, hydrate, and find relief from the sweltering conditions.
Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Prince George and its neighbouring regions over the coming days. The city of Prince George is reviewing their list of cooling centres to help residents cope with the rising temperatures.
