PRINCE GEORGE — Update (11:50 a.m.): The Kodiaks have released a statement in light of the news Jamie Boreham is no longer the team’s head coach.

It reads in part that the team “recently completed organizational restructuring to support the long-term sustainability of the program. These decisions were made with our players, families, and community in mind. Our focus remains on athlete development, responsible stewardship, and building a strong future for Kodiaks football.”

Earlier (10:05 a.m.): CKPG News has learned Jamie Boreham is no longer the head coach of the Prince George Kodiaks.

CKPG News reached out to Boreham and the team but neither has confirmed or denied the news or the reasoning behind the decision.

Boreham was hired to coach the team in December 2022 and compiled an 11-18-1 record over three seasons.

Last year, he led the Kodiaks to their first winning season at 5-4-1 and their first playoff berth.

Since word leaked that Boreham is no longer the team’s coach, a petition has been launched for his reinstatement.

In 2025, Boreham won both the Canadian Junior Football League and regional British Columbia Football Coach of the Year awards.
