The Spruce Kings were able to finish the first period with a 3-1 score when Cooper Faughnan got his first goal of the season with 5.7 seconds left in the frame and assists from Michael Denney and Bianchi.

In the second period, Spruce Kings’ Dominic Szcygiel and Denney earned a pair of goals within the first seven minutes, bringing the score to 5-1.

Emmanuel Chan got the Warriors another point with a powerplay goal at the 12:30 mark.

The Spruce Kings finished out the period once again when Daniel Podvalov earned his first BCHL goal with assistance from Noah Smith and Szczygiel with 3:10 remaining in the frame.

Just 27 seconds into the third period, Max Dinneen got a power play goal for the warriors with assists from Joe Marchi and Kelsen Podworny to bring the score up to 6-3.

The Spruce Kings struck back with a pair of power play goals, one from Ryan Wachtel at 8:26 with assists from Nick Bianchi and Charlie Spencer and another at 17:36 from Cooper Faughnan with assists from Noah Franzina and Max Davidson.

Faughnan’s goal earned the Spruce Kings a finishing a 8-3.

Loewen earned first star for his two goals, Bianchi got second for three assists, and Szczygiel was given the third star for his goal and a pair of assists.

The Spruce Kings will will be back on home ice on Saturday night (Sept. 26) when they face off against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.
