The losing streak extends to seven games now for the Prince George Cougars.

After two regulation losses and two overtime losses in front of a home crowd, the Cougars took to the road for a three-game Alberta road trip this past weekend.

They started off with a tough 4-1 loss in Calgary and a 5-1 loss the following night against the Red Deer Rebels.

Sunday afternoon’s game in Edmonton, however, was a lot closer. Vladislav Mikhalchuk opened the scoring in the game against the Oil Kings in front of almost 8,300 people at Rogers Place. The Cougars lead was washed away in a matter of minutes in the second. Conner McDonald first scored unassisted 6 minutes in, and then less than 2 minutes later.
