Cause of playground death revealed

PRINCE GEORGE — Mounties have revealed more details surrounding yesterday’s (Sept.24) death at the Duchess Park playground.

The adult body was discovered just after 8 a.m. and the Prince George RCMP say foul play is not suspected and believe that the death was the result of a medical incident.

Cpl. Sonja Blom urges anyone affected by this incident to speak to someone about it for their own mental wellness.

“The Prince George RCMP’s Victim Services Section is available for support and can be reached at 250-561-3329,” she says.

“The Crisis Prevention, Intervention & Information Centre is available 24 hours a day at 1-888-562-1214. Both services are free of charge.”
